GOED Gears Up for 2016 SHOT Show
Trade Show Next Week in Las Vegas
The Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show is less than a week away, but the GOED has been preparing for months. This year marks the 14th
year that South Dakota has participated in the SHOT Show.
“The Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoors industry is simply a terrific fit for South Dakota. There is really no better place for companies to do business,” said GOED Commissioner Pat Costello. “The SHOT Show has by far been one of the state’s most successful shows, which is why we continue to not only attend, but to increase our exposure and strengthen our presence.”
Several marketing and public relations pieces have been created and updated for the 2016 show. Some of the highlights include:
Updated figures and a fresh look for the industry information piece, company list and map, and infographic
Four new feature stories on companies and the industry in South Dakota (see widgets at right)
Pre-show promotional pieces sent out both electronically and by direct mail, directing show goers to the South Dakota booth (#2950)
Enhanced digital directory listing, which features success stories and a new video
The GOED and community partners are also hosting a reception and have secured a media bin in the press room, giving the media easy access to all promotional materials.
“We are really excited for 2016. I’d like to encourage all of our community partners, whether they are attending the show or not, to check out the SHOT industry page on our recruitment site, and utilize the materials available here to grow the industry in their communities,” Costello said.
