Carl W. Soukup Addition Achieves Certified Ready Site Status

TEA, S.D. – The Carl W. Soukup Addition in Tea, S.D. was announced as the latest South Dakota Certified Ready Site at the Tea Economic Development Corporation’s (TEDC) monthly board meeting last night. The Carl W. Soukup Addition will be South Dakota’s 15th Certified Ready Site.
“Congratulations to Tea for achieving Certified Ready status on the Carl W. Soukup Addition,” said Pat Costello, Commissioner, Governor’s Office of Economic Development. “I commend Tea’s community leaders for taking the initiative to promote economic development in South Dakota. It is this kind of leadership that makes South Dakota a great place to do business.”
“Having this property declared Certified Ready is key for the economic growth of Tea,” said Jenni White, economic development director for the city of Tea. “We understand the importance of GOED programs as it allows us to provide the proper information to site selectors. We are eager to work with potential businesses and to make Tea their home.”
The South Dakota Certified Ready Sites program is an economic development tool available to all counties, cities, townships, planning districts, business improvement districts and developers.
