Our aim is to help you succeed in the global market. Thanks to a U.S. Port of Entry located in our biggest city, Sioux Falls, companies have accesses to quick and efficient U.S. customs clearing, as well as other importing and exporting services. On top of that, South Dakota is home to a diverse set of foreign-owned companies across a wide-range of industry operations. With reliable broadband and access to seven commercial airports, in South Dakota the world-wide market is always at your fingertips.
The Governor’s Office of Economic Development works closely with the South Dakota International Trade Center to increase current and international trade opportunities in South Dakota.
Certificates of Free Sale are now issued by the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. Required by certain countries, these certificates state that South Dakota companies produce the purchased products in the state and there are no trade restrictions on said products. There is no charge for a certificate. To request a certificate please follow the instructions in Certificate of Free Sale information sheet.
