Economic Development Partnership Program

Resources for Development Partners

The Economic Development Partnership Program provides grants to non-profit development corporations, tribal governments, municipalities, counties, or other political subdivisions of this state on a matching basis to fund new staff, elevate existing part-time staff, commence or replenish local revolving loan funds, and assist with equipment and training needs.

How it Works

Applicants work with their area planning district to submit a completed application before funding is considered. The Board of Economic Development will consider applications on a quarterly basis, unless otherwise directed.

If the board approves the application, the applicant must comply with the conditions of approval to remain eligible for the grant. GOED will issue payment within 30 days of the receiving the required documentation.

Eligible Recipients

The Economic Development Partnership Program is open to nonprofit development corporations, tribal governments, municipalities, counties, and other political subdivisions of South Dakota.
